Vaudevillian slapstick meets Lynchian surrealism in this Indian film focused on an arranged marriage of two utterly incompatible people. They share one glaring trait: both are misunderstood misfits in their Mumbai working-class world. Radhika Apte as the wife, Uma, takes us on a chaotically nutty and increasingly dark journey as she challenges societal norms, including the expectations of matrimony.
